Do you remember that scene in the Devil Wears Prada where Miranda (the Devil/fashion mogul) explains to Andy (hapless fashion magazine intern that doesn’t “get” the whole fashion thing) that the lumpy blue sweater she’s wearing is actually cerulean and years before then, cerulean was in the collections of all these big name designer, which then filtered its way down into department stores and ultimately the clearance bin out of which Andy fished it out, all just to point out that while Andy seems to wear things just to show how little she cares about the fashion world, the articles she chooses are still just as much a product of the “stuff” about which she can’t tell the difference?
No? Just me?
Well, this is embarrassing.
But anyway, every year, Pantone, the color people, choose a color of the year each year, and this year, it’s Emerald. It’s a beautiful color, so I thought I’d share a few mood boards with ways I’d use the color emerald, starting with ways I’d wear it.
