Alan and I had worked together previously on his pet project, Writer’s Success Academy, and I was excited to work with him again on updating his home-base site, alansitomer.com. His site has been the home of his work as an author, teacher, and speaker, but with lots of content and an outdated design, it was time to upgrade.
Together, we designed a new logo, created an entirely new layout, and restructured his content to be more usable, easy to find, and follow a more user-friendly flow. As such, we created 3 different custom post types (in addition to the standard blog post and archive layouts): books, reviews, and events.
